Norway's largest music publisher
We represent composers, songwriters, lyricists, producers and arrangers across genres. Since 1909, we have been developing creators and building catalogs that live across markets, platforms and borders.
We work to ensure that the works find new contexts – on stage, in productions and in audiovisual formats – nationally and internationally.
At the same time, we manage rights and catalogues with a long-term perspective. We handle licensing and contracts, international revenue generation through sub-publishers, graphic rights, sheet music publications and rental of orchestral material. For larger stage works, we administer the major rights and follow up on each individual production.
We protect what is created, develop it further and ensure that the music has a long life.
Established in 1909
Norsk Musikkforlag was established in 1909 and has built catalogues and represented authors who have left a lasting mark through generations.
Today, we are Norway's largest music publisher – still Norwegian-owned and independent.
